Following, is a bit about me, my background, the way I work, and the training I have taken, so you can get a feel for me, Sarah Taylor (MAR), the person behind Simply Calming Touch Reflexology.
As a working mum I know what it is like to burn out from the pressure we put upon ourselves. I really believe that we need to stop feeling guilty about looking after ourselves. Stress and mental health problems are on the rise and something needs to give. It is my mission to help you put on that oxygen mask first, using reflexology to stop and replenish; release tension and negative energy; and revive both body and mind.
I was first introduced to reflexology by my husband, he suffers with IBS and working his feet would help ease his symptoms. I searched for a course that would teach me the basics of reflexology so that I could treat him and in 2008 I undertook an introductory course at a local college. I was fascinated by what I learnt (both from the tutor and from the feet I worked) and amazed at how relaxed I felt receiving treatments from fellow students. I spent the next year treating not only my husband but also any family members and friends that would lend me their feet, passionate about helping people and sharing the magic of this amazing therapy! Then in 2010 I took the next step to become a qualified reflexologist. I had no expectations of where it would lead and could never have imagined the journey it has taken me on. In 2016 I discovered facial reflexology which brought a new dimension to my practice. It is such a stunning treatment to both give and receive, and I love using the techniques on myself as well as others!
Since qualifying I have had the pleasure of treating a wide variety of clients ranging from just 6 weeks to 93 years old and for a wide variety of reasons. Over 10 years on from my first introduction to reflexology, it continues to amaze me with what a difference this incredible therapy can make to people's lives.
I carried out my ABC Diploma in Reflexology at The London School of Reflexology with Louise Keet, author of The Reflexology Bible.
I am a fully insured member of the Association of Reflexologists, an independent professional body for reflexology in the UK. To maintain membership I have to continually demonstrate that I meet their strict standards of professional excellence, as well as commit to the on going development of my skills and knowledge.

All my treatments are carried out in the comfort of your own home. I offer an in person mobile service and online sessions; both enabling you to completely de-stress and rebalance knowing that you do not have to go anywhere afterwards.
Based in Wallington, Surrey, my mobile service is also available in the surrounding areas of Beddington, Carshalton, Croydon, Sutton, Cheam and Banstead. If your area is close by but not listed please do contact me to see what can be arranged. I supply everything needed to carry out the treatment, including a reclining chair, towels, natural reflexology balms or facial oils and even music, (although you are free to choose your own).
When face to face treatments are not an option, whatever the reasons may be, online sessions are a great alternative. I absolutely love guiding clients through self treatment sessions. Yes, it is not the same as lying back and having someone else treat you but my word, it is still unbelievably calming and relaxing. Empowering clients to be able to use reflexology themselves as a self help tool is so rewarding. They are often surprised at the results they can achieve from working on themselves.
Both in person treatments and one to one online sessions are individually tailored to your requirements, ensuring you get the most out of your time with me. Like the gym, having one session will make you feel good, but to get the best results I recommend a package of treatments.
